After nearly two months in Italy we leave in a few days. It’s a beautiful country, but definitely one of distinct contrasts. I’ll have a lot of fond memories of this place including slow walks around Venice, mountain biking in the Dolomites and immersing in the culture of Florence. But this is also the place where our van got broken into and some areas don’t feel so nice to be in. The north is more welcoming and beautiful than further south in my opinion (although we didn’t go past Rome). Today we’re parked up in a spot as we make plans to head east, the autumn colours and light are washing through our windows and I’m glad we visited this country and were able to give her so much of our time.
